DATA RETENTION: Patient Health Information (PHI) will be stored for as long as necessary for legal,regulatory or clinical purposes.

HIPPA COMPLIANCE-Hope Mental Health clinic complies with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act to protect the privacy of patient health information.

REGULAR SECURITY AUDITS AND MONITORING -ongoing monitoring systems will be in place to detect and respond to any suspicious activity or data breaches.

BREACH NOTIFICATION-Clients will be l notified of any breaches via emails in line with applicable laws and regulations e.g HIPPA breach notification requirements.

Business Associate Agreements (BAA's)- Hope Mental Health Clinic will have signed BAA's with any third party providers who handle PHI to ensure they meet security and confidentiality requirements.

PATIENT RIGHTS - Patients have rights to access, reviews and request corrections to their personal health data. Data Portabiltiy -Patients have rights to request that their data be transferred to another provider in a secure manner.

USER EDUCATION:Security Awareness :We emphasize on importance of patient involvement in securing their own data eg use of strong passwords , logging out of their accounts and recognizing phishing attempts.
